Roux – Dating for Foodies

I participated in a fourteen-week design/development workshop “Night Shift“ at Skookum Digital Works in Charlotte, NC. Night Shift consisted of teams of participants to build a real digital product from conception through launch. Night Shift combined guidance and weekly presentations by industry experts, with hands-on teamwork experience.

Our team was assigned Roux, a fictional dating app that allows people to find love through food. Users swipe through pictures of food that have been uploaded by other Roux users. When two people swipe right on each other’s food photos, it’s a match!

This experience introduced me to the world of app development, taught me a lot about user experience design and much more.
